Here’s 23 tracks from flandersbeatgeneration.blogspot.com which recently has been closed by the Belgium "Anti-Piracy Federation" after 15 volumes of prae-beat, beat and psychedelic music from Flanders. (In case you didn’t know: Flanders is the community of the Flemings and a geographical region located in parts of present-day Belgium (mostly) but also in France and in Holland). I don’t intend to make this decision an issue here even if I’m convinced that creating an archive of rare music you won’t find in the shops and offering it to the internet-community does not damage the industry and has nothing to do with piracy. Anyway, I’ve decided to select 23 tracks that have not appeared on any of the Belgium-Garage-compilations like "The Big Freeze", "Eat Sprouts", "Wit-Lof From Belgium" or on "Beat & Psychedelic Music in Belgium" by the European Discography Page by Buffalo Billycan (http://discographypage.blogspot.com/). This time, in the booklet you won’t find any bios on the groups (as you can easily get exhaustive information from the above page and also from http://users.telenet.be/Belgium-Rock/) but all the cover sleeves. I’d like to thank Eddy from Flanders Beat for his generous labor of love hoping he won’t feel too bad about the killing of his site but maybe will find a way around to continue. I hope everybody will enjoy the trip to Flanders.
