I I admit this is not a compilation of straight Garage Fuzz as both CDs start with a stack of ole platters that were played on jukeboxes during the 50s so Rockers and Rockabilly Rousers would boast “…We did that Garage thing 10 years before !”, and I guess they were bloody right (as my selection hopefully will prove). When I lean my weary ears to the scratchy sounds, I get the conviction that early 60 bands of unknown youngsters wouldn’t have sounded much differently in their garages, so let’s welcome the Rockies as the fore fathers of Garage Beat Bands. The rest of this installment spans from solid Beat to wild (and sometimes, mild) psychedelia , I’m sure you’ll dig (even the Peels, eventually). The first song apart, all other tunes have never been compiled before, not even on “private” comps, my own installments included. A glance on the tracklist will give you an idea about the rareness grade of my double set’s artists. My thanks go out to the community of 1st connaisseur you tubers, mostly Fonsoul bcn, Tallmark, Benjamin Shilman, Dal Duncan, Lexingontunes, GarageHangOver, and many more I mentioned (and quoted) in the booklet.
